Upcoming Events

WAVE is your home for all the big events.

This year, in April, WAVE will broadcast Thunder Over Louisville. It is the annual kickoff event of the Kentucky Derby Festival. It features an airshow, and the largest fireworks display in North America. Then in May, the Kentucky Derby, often called the most exciting two minutes in sports, will return to WAVE. An all day event featuring big hats, parties, people watching, high fashion, bourbon sipping and of course the Kentucky Derby.
